Arnavaux wholesale market in Marseille (France) - 9 January 2012
Girus is assisting SOMIMAR in providing appropriate management of cleaning and waste sorting at the Arnavaux wholesale market in Marseille.
Having determined the characteristics of all the waste that is produced and sorted by the market, Girus is drawing up new specifications for the cleaning and waste collection-sorting-recovery services it requires.
An internal waste management centre equipped with sorting installations and a sorting team that will be present as from 3 am will help optimise the recovery of 5,000 tonnes of waste produced on site:
- Cardboard,
- Wood,
- Metal,
- Fermentible waste,
- Mixed non-dangerous waste
The new contract will come into force in April 2012 and will include significant recovery commitments and absolute obligations concerning the cleaning of the site.
