The first brick is laid for the new Ecorpain treatment plant! - 14 December 2011
On Friday 21 October on the Ganotin site, SMIRGEOMES (Syndicat mixte intercommunal de réalisation et de gestion pour l’élimination des ordures ménagères de l’est sarthois) laid the first brick for the future residual household waste (RHW) mechanical & biological treatment plant.

- Site: Ecorpain – Sarthe (72)
- Owner: Smirgeomes
- Legal framework: competitive dialogue procedure
- Contract winner: BIOREVA / IRIS / B+CA / VEOLIA consortium (operation)
- Treatment capacity: 20 000 t/yr of RHW
- Compost production (NFU 44051): 4200 t/yr
- Waste disposal: on the NHWSF site
- Scheduled completion date: September 2012
