Ovade sorting and anaerobic digestion unit - 29 July 2016

The Ovade sorting-anaerobic digestion unit was inaugurated on 24 June.

It has been designed to treat 60,000 tonnes of household waste and 7,500 tonnes of green waste per year.

The unit recovers this waste by producing standardised NFU 44051-compliant compost, inert waste and biogas, which is transformed into heat and electricity.

This is the first industrial facility to implement a digestate “washing” technique (Sordisep process developed by OWS).

Girus has been acting as assistant to the Owner since the very beginning of the project.
